It was a great pleasure getting to know Geoff in the later days of his life. The most delightful aspect of this period was his obvious devotion to Freda, his wife, friend and companion.
He was always interested in knowing what we were doing, particularly when it came to a shared interest in DIY, even offering , at his somewhat advanced age, to offer a hand.
He had a great interest in Scotland's coasts and landscapes but clearly remained a Yorkshireman at heart. He will remain in our thoughts for many years.
